Celebrating Faithful Service & Welcoming a New Team Member

God is faithful through every season, and we are grateful for His provision as we celebrate one chapter and begin another at the Michigan Association of Christian Schools.

For over 20 years of faithful service, Sue Schmig has entered the blessing of retirement. Sue has been an invaluable part of the MACS ministry, faithfully serving Christian schools across Michigan with dedication, excellence, and a servant’s heart. We are deeply thankful for her years of ministry and pray that the Lord richly blesses her as she begins this new season of life.

As we thank God for Sue’s faithful service, we are also pleased to welcome Stefanie Clark to the MACS team as our new Administrative Assistant. Stefanie is a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and brings experience in education, church administration, and healthcare administration. She has a heart for serving others, learning new adventures, and is excited to support the mission of MACS and the schools we serve.

Please join us in thanking the Lord for Sue’s faithful ministry and in praying for Stefanie as she begins serving with MACS.

IMPORTANT EMAIL UPDATE

As part of this transition, we ask that all future MACS correspondence that you had with Sue be directed to admin4macs@gmail.com. Please update your records to help ensure timely communication.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Summer is winding down, and two of my favorite sentences are about to land softly on teachers, parents, and students:

“In-service starts on Tuesday.”
“School starts next Monday.”

And that is what we are all about! As another school year begins, we are thankful for the administrators, teachers, staff, parents, and students who make Christian education possible throughout Michigan. We pray the Lord blesses each of our MACS schools in the year ahead.

SUMMER HIGHLIGHT

The MACS Golf outing started our Summer with 21 teams raising money for MACS. It’s always a highlight of the summer: great fellowship good food and golfing with friends. Can it get much better on a summer day?

Put June 7, 2027 on your calendar and join us, you’ll have a nice time.

MACS MONITOR

My legislative time focused on contacting our elected officials because Michigan families & “students are waiting for their governor to act and opt in to the Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC). Without the governor’s action by the beginning of 2027, donors will still be able to make donations to Scholarship Granting Organization (SGOs) for the benefit of students in other states that have opted in.”
