Many of you have asked (and wondered) what is going on in Lansing with our State Government. Since the Capitol Building is closed to visitors, I haven't been able to make my regular Wednesday legislative visits with our State Representatives and State Senators. I have kept in contact with their offices through phone calls and emails, but it's just not the same. So here is an opportunity for you to listen directly to our own MACS Graduate and State representative Phil Green. With prayerful consideration, we factored into this decision our Governor’s mandated school closing until April 6 and scheduled school closings in observance of Easter Break prior to our scheduled MACS Junior High Fine Arts Festival. Student safety is one of our highest priorities and while we do not know the extent of the COVID-19 virus infections in the State of Michigan we believe it is in the best interest of our students, parents and grandparents to cancel completely our MACS Sr. High Fine Arts Competition scheduled at Calvary Baptist Church Midland, Michigan for Friday, March 13, 2020. Since making our decision for MACS we were informed that the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS)  is cancelling their National Fine Arts Competition in April in Greenville, SC.
